We stayed in the house for two days. It was a very quiet and private place. The decoration is nicely beautiful. When we have questions, it’s quick to get answers back from Carlos’s team.

Villa mariposa was a beautiful place and we loved staying here. It was close to La Fortuna about 15 minutes. The view was incredible of the Arenal volcano. We felt extremely safe at all times. Gerald and his team of hosts went above and beyond in relation with communication and recommendations. We had a small issue with our rental car and Gerald gave us immediate help when we inquired about where we could take it to get it looked at. His lovely wife prepared a delicious breakfast by for us one morning. We loved our stay and loved everything about Costa Rica!

The Mariposa Morada is a great base for exploring Arenal and the area around El Tanque and La Fortuna. Serendipitously, it is a walkable distance to a very good coffee and chocolate tour and there are sodas and a nearby minisuper. The house has private suites, and roof deck with great views of Arenal, outdoor entertaining, and a little pool for cooling off after hikes and adventures. If you are lucky and don't move too quickly you may be visited by bright songbirds, geckos, tree frogs, and basilisk lizards.

We had a wonderful 5 day stay here in La Fortuna. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive. Carlos even met us at the property to make sure we arrived safely, which was such a thoughtful touch. His energy and kindness made us feel very welcomed. The Airbnb was spotless, beautiful, and exactly as pictured. The jacuzzi was perfectly hot and such a treat after a day of exploring. I especially loved relaxing in the hammock while reading and sipping on a glass of wine. Waking up to the birds each morning was lovely (though sometimes they sounded like they were having very passionate debates,I almost went out there to ask what all the bickering was about! 😄). It really added to the charm of being surrounded by nature. The location was great about 20 minutes from downtown La Fortuna, so it felt peaceful while still being close to everything. And the soursop tree at the outdoor shower was such a fun surprise for a soursop lover like me! Overall 10/10 stay. Highly recommend. Pura Vida!

This place is a treasure! Close to everything and spotless and very private, would absolutely stay here again! I can't say enough great things about it. And as an added bonus, the host Gerald is a local treasure ❤️. If you are in La Fortuna and want an experience that's beyond the tourist path, contact Gerald for a day you won't forget. Calling him a guide is feels like an understatement. He is a master storyteller, local expert, and simply the best! Within 30 seconds of our arrival, he had already spotted amazing wildlife! Gerald will make your day amazing. You may even get some fresh coconut! 6 Stars for this house and Gerald. 😎

The place was private , beautiful , and very close to downtown La Fortuna. Everything about it was extremely nice, in the mornings you can hear and see all the birds which was very relaxing. I would recommend anyone to stay here!

Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt in Scotts Casa. Rafael hat uns herzlich begrüßt bei unserer Ankunft und uns das Haus gezeigt. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Betten sind bequem und die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Toll waren auch die zusätzlichen Strandhandtücher. An die Geräuschkulisse in der Nacht muss man sich gewöhnen, aber selbst dafür liegen Oropax bereit! Die Casa liegt etwas abgelegen von all dem Trubel neben Pferde- und Kuhwiesen, sodass man die Seele wunderbar am Pool baumeln lassen kann und trotzdem nur wenige Autominuten vom Playa Grande entfernt ist.

The private villa was just what we needed. Intimate, Cozy and Unique! The double shower was my girlfriend’s favorite feature. The large, stone shower that was connected to the serene outdoor shower is a nice touch. Everything that we needed was provided. I can’t thank him enough for the flowers, rose petals, card and wine. Book this!

We loved staying here. It was a very peaceful place to stay. It’s about a 15 min drive from the town of La Fortuna and a nice place to relax away from the town. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. Jacuzzi was great!
